Eucharistic Minister

Are you interested in serving Saint Paul Parish as a Eucharistic Minister?

A Eucharistic Minister is a lay person who assists the priest in administering the sacraments of holy communion, the consecrated bread and wine. They may also take the sacraments to those who are ill, or otherwise unable to attend Mass.

Are you qualified to be a Eucharistic Minister?

  • Be a practicing Catholic, distinguished in your Christian life, faith and morals
  • Be at least 16 years old
  • Have received the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist
  • Demonstrate a deep reverence for and devotion to the holy Eucharist
  • Eucharistic ministers must be currently commissioned in the parish in which they serve.

St. Paul offers a training session for all new Eucharistic Ministers, after which they are commissioned to serve at one or two masses each month.
