RCIA, the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is the way in which adults and teens who are not Catholic become members of the Catholic Church.
We gather weekly on Thursday evenings (7:00-9:00pm) beginning in September. These sessions are open to:
- Those inquiring about the Catholic faith - raised in another faith, or no faith background at all.
- Those who have been baptized Catholic but require the sacraments of Confirmation and Holy Eucharist.
- Those who have been baptized Catholic and wish to refresh their understanding of their Catholic faith.
Those on this spiritual journey of inquiry have the opportunity, should they choose, to come into full communion with the Catholic Church during the Easter Vigil Mass, Easter Saturday evening. At this time the catechumens and candidates, who have chosen this faith are welcomed into the Catholic Church through the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Eucharist.
Those wishing to begin the RCIA journey or just interested in finding out more information, should contact Michele Blate at 330.499.2201 ext. 108 to discuss the process, the program, and have a brief interview in order to personalize the journey. No two journey's are alike.
We welcome all those who are interested in becoming Catholic or just interested in understanding the beliefs and teaching of the Catholic Church to consider learning more about the RCIA program at St. Paul Church!
