Camping

We're Boy Scouts. We camp. That's what we do. At least one weekend a month, every month of the year, you will find Troop 35 out there, somewhere. We have campgrounds that we visit time and time again, and others that we may only see once, or once every few years. For a list of campsites we have visited, including a clickable map of camps in Northeast Ohio, go here .

For camping permission forms, see the Forms webpage.

Summer Camp

Troop 35 goes to Summer Camp at Seven Ranges Scout Reservation, near Kensington, Ohio, in late July. This year, we will be there the week of July 20 to July 26, 2008.

Fees:

General Information:

Camp Honors Program:

One of the very unique programs at Seven Ranges Camp is that of the Buckeye Council's Pipestone Award. Find out about the Pipestone Award and Requirements here. Do you need to study up on your plants before you come to camp? Here's a checklist of common plants found at Seven Ranges.

Medical Forms:

A health history revised within the past twelve months and a physical examination conducted within the past thirty six months are required of each youth and adult camper under the age of 40. A copy of the physical form must be attached to the current health history and signed by a licensed physician. A parent or guardian must attest to the validity of the health history and physical examination for those under 18 years of age. A signature from a parent or guardian is required each year. If possible, both parents or guardians should sign and date the form. Adults 40 years of age and over must show evidence of a physical examination within the past twelve months.

Winter Camping

A little cold or a little snow doesn't stop Troop 35 from camping in the winter months. Buckeye Council offers a Polar Bear award to any Scout or Leader who camps for a total of 96 hours (2 1/2 campouts) between the months of November and March. To prepare for one of these campouts, see the Troop 35 Winter Camping Guide.
